the Hayden Lake Country Club

Situated above the shores of Hayden Lake in stunning North Idaho, HLCC’s beautiful setting is delightful in every season. Conveniently located near the resort city of Coeur d’Alene, the club is just a short drive from the Spokane airport, the Montana border, and several popular ski resorts.

Accommodations are available for the enjoyment and convenience of members, their out-of-town guests, and members of our partner reciprocal clubs. Eight hotel rooms on the second floor of the clubhouse each feature a unique design theme that represents the club's history. Our cabana complex includes five spacious guest suites with king beds, lake views, and private patios. One additional cabana unit is a charming residential-style cottage. ABOUT OUR CLUB
Founded in 1907, HLCC is a premier private club offering members golf and a wide range of social activities. Our lakefront clubhouse and grounds feature fine and casual dining options, a cocktail lounge, tennis, pickleball & bocce courts, as well as beautiful overnight hotel rooms and cabanas.  Open year-round, HLCC is located near the resort city of Coeur d'Alene, and within a short drive of the Spokane airport, Montana border, and several popular ski resorts.

DINING
HLCC's dining opportunities are varied and offered throughout the year.  Dinner & lunch service is offered in our historic clubhouse - in the Main Dining Room or in the Bar & Lounge, which features an impressive stone fireplace. Breakfast is available seasonally. Adjacent to the clubhouse, the Cutter Bar is a handsome outdoor terrace with fire pits that offers a more casual dining experience.  The Red House, located on the golf course, is a favorite year-round gathering spot for food & drink, with a sports-pub ambiance. Dining hours & locations vary throughout the year.  Please inquire with the Front Desk for the current schedule and to book reservations.      

ACCOMMODATIONS
HLCC's accommodation offerings include eight hotel rooms on the second floor of the clubhouse - each decorated in a unique style representing the club's rich history. Five cabana units with lake views are located in a separate building adjacent to the south lawn. These feature mini-refrigerators and private patios with lake views.  One additional cabana unit is a freestanding residential style cottage, with separate living/dining area, kitchenette, washer & dryer, and double-patio with lake views.  All rooms and cabanas are equipped with TV & WIFI, and premium tea & coffee selections.

ACTIVITES
Resort-like offerings and recreational activities are plentiful at Hayden Lake. Golf privileges are extended to overnight guests, subject to tee time availability.  Tennis and pickleball courts are located at the Red House, and bocce courts are located adjacent to the cabana complex. Contact the Front Desk to book these in advance.  A swim dock with a lifeguard is open during the summer.  Boat rentals for fishing & watersports are available nearby. Hiking and biking trails are plentiful throughout the region, and several popular ski resorts are within an hour's drive.  

PARKING
Parking is available adjacent to the main clubhouse for members, their guests and reciprocal club visitors. Overflow parking is available on the lawn northwest of the Pro Shop complex.

HOUSE RULES, POLICIES & DRESS CODE
All guests must adhere to the Clubhouse policies and dress code at all times.  Our dress code promotes comfortable, appropriate attire and an atmosphere that allows for a casual take on fine dining. It reflects an overall good taste for the members and their guests in keeping with the Club's history and traditions.

For Men in the Clubhouse: Collared shirts in the dining room. Dress jeans are acceptable. No hats inside the clubhouse, including lounge, grill, and dining room.

For Women in the Clubhouse:  Dress jeans are acceptable. No bathing suits or cover-ups. Casual seasonal attire is appropriate.

The Cutter Bar is an outdoor terrace lounge and dining facility. We welcome casual and lake attire. Bathing suit coverups for women and shirts for men will be expected. 

At the Red House, casual attire and footwear are acceptable as it is a casual venue for members and guests.

TAFT SUITE - ROOM 35
This spacious lake-view room has a king bed and an adjacent sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa. It features classic, traditional furnishings and historical accents celebrating President William Taft, who dined and spent the night at the Club in 1909.

CUTTER SUITE - ROOM 36
This spacious room has a king bed, queen sleeper sofa, and golf course view. Named in honor of Kirtland Cutter, Hayden's clubhouse architect, it features classic, early 20th-century design elements and architectural decor.
 
OLMSTED SUITE - ROOM 37
Inspired by Hayden's celebrated landscape architects, the Olmsted Brothers, this room has a cast-iron king bed and sitting area with lake views. It features vintage garden-inspired furnishings, botanical prints, and golf-themed decor.

 
WIGWAM SUITE - ROOM 38
This spacious room has a king bed, queen sleeper sofa, and golf course views. It is decorated in a rustic lakeside style in honor of the "Wigwam" - the club's historic community cabin and social gathering spot.
 
HONEYSUCKLE SUITE - ROOM 39
A charming, vintage blue-and-white theme sets the tone for this comfortably elegant space. The room has two queen-size beds, a small sitting area, and a partial lake view overlooking Honeysuckle Bay.
 
CROSBY SUITE - ROOM 43
Inspired by Bing Crosby, one of the club's most famous former members, this spacious room has a queen bed, an adjacent sitting area with queen sleeper sofa, and a partial lake view. It features nautical accents and vintage tennis and golf prints.
 
CHALET SUITE - ROOM 46
Inspired by Hayden's historic Swiss chalet style, this room has a queen bed and sitting area with queen sleeper sofa. It features a golf course view. Decor accents include European alpine and woodland themes.

 
CANFIELD SUITE - ROOM 47
Named in honor of Oscar Canfield, one of the region’s pioneer settlers, this room features a queen bed, queen sleeper sofa, traditional & equestrian decor, and mountain views.
 
CABANA 24
A freestanding residential-style unit with separate King bedroom, living/dining area with Queen sleeper and kitchenette. Decorated in a charming cottage style, this cabana offers beautiful lake views from an expansive double patio.
 
LAKESIDE CABANAS 50-54
Beautifully situated with direct lake views, these 5 suites offer King beds, a desk and reading nook, and spacious patios. Traditional furnishings and nautical decor make these units feel like an enclave of private lakeside guest cottages.
